Teaching Area Simulation: ‧ Parallel simulation of rarefied gas dynamics in materials processing, vacuum technology, hypersonic flows, microscale and nanoscale gas flows; ‧ Parallel simulation of plasma physics in materials processing, field emission, plasma backlight source for TFT-LCD and plasma display panel; ‧ Parallel simulation of the classical molecular dynamics (now) and the quantum molecular dynamics (CPMD) (future) in nanoscale phenomena, materials processing and bio-medical applications; ‧ Parallel simulation of the Poisson-Boltzmann equation for the electrostatic distribution of the colloidal system (now) and the macromolecular system (future). ‧ Parallel simulation of the density functional theory (DFT) using FEM for the ground and excited state of atoms and molecules ‧ Computational electromagnetics using FEM . Experiment: ‧ Plasma diagnostics for the low-temperature plasma physics using the Langmuir probe . ‧ Material characterization based on the plasma diagnostics and simulation. (future) .
